About Troop 872

Troop 872 is located in the vibrant community of Beaverton, Oregon. As a proud member of the Sunset Trail District in the Cascade Pacific Council, we strive to create a nurturing and adventurous environment for boys and young men. Our charter organization, the Murray Hills Christian Church, supports and guides us in our mission to develop confident, responsible, and service-oriented individuals.

Are you ready to embark on a journey filled with excitement and personal growth? Troop 872 welcomes boys from 5th grade through high school to join our ranks. Whether you’re new to scouting or have prior experience, our troop offers a supportive and inclusive community where lifelong friendships are formed and leadership skills are honed.

Troop Meetings

Troop 872 gathers every Monday evening from 7:00pm to approximately 8:30pm. Our meetings take place at the Murray Hills Christian Church, conveniently located at 15050 SW Weir Road in Beaverton. Join us as we engage in engaging activities, learn valuable skills, and plan thrilling adventures.

Summer Camp Permission Slip (Updated 6/22)

Attention Scouts and Parents! We have an updated Summer Camp permission slip available. Please ensure that you review and complete the form before the designated deadline. Note the following details:

  1. Departure: We will be leaving from Hiteon School.
  2. Return: The anticipated return date is Saturday, July 7.

World Jamboree: An International Adventure!

Calling all Scouts! Are you interested in an unforgettable international experience at the World Jamboree? This incredible opportunity allows you to connect with Scouts and Scouters from all corners of the world. The upcoming Jamboree will be held in England at Hylands Park, from July 27 to August 8, 2007.

We highly recommend applying soon, as our council is expected to have limited spots available, with only 36 spots for youth participants. Additionally, if you’re at least 18 years old, consider joining the Jamboree staff. Don’t miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime adventure! Scout and Adult Applications

Attention Scouts and Adults interested in attending the World Jamboree! The council has already processed 13 Scout applications, representing approximately one-third of the available spots. To secure your place at this monumental Scouting event, submit your application as soon as possible. Spaces are filling up fast, so act swiftly!

Each troop will be led by four adults, who may also serve in other areas of responsibility at the Jamboree. If you’re an adult with a passion for Scouting and want to contribute to this remarkable experience, we encourage you to apply soon. The selection process will begin by the end of the year. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this extraordinary adventure!
